Willowdown Primary School is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic 121 Teaching Assistant to join our team to work with a child in Y6. This is an exciting opportunity to give support to children (under the direction of the teacher), so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Brings energy, commitment and creativity to their work

• Builds positive relationships and works well in a team

• Has a minimum of 2 years recent relevant experience, supporting pupils in the classroom

• Has a good standard of education (5 x GCSE’s – English and Maths C or above) and a relevant, recognized qualification such as NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent

• Shares our belief that every child deserves the very best opportunities

Role information:

Working 24 hours per week, term time only plus one week, fixed term linked to EHCP funding and linked to Year 6 child.  Expected end date of contract 31/08/27 or when the child has secured a more suitable place at a specialist school, if sooner.

There is some flexibility in the working pattern, however most likely to be 5 days a week, 0900 - 1415 with 20 minutes for lunch
